Hospice Launches Butterwick Apprentice Challenge
19/12/2007Butterwick House Children's Hospice has launched the new Butterwick Apprentice Challenge.
The Apprentice is a scheme in which teams from local businesses and schools are invited to take £50 and grow it by as much as they possibly can in three months.
All the proceeds from the Apprentice Scheme will be used to support the valuable work of the Children's Hospice.
All local businesses and schools are invited to participate in this exciting challenge; putting their innovation and enterprise to the test.
The Butterwick Apprentice provides participants with an ideal opportunity to build team working and develop key business skills; in addition they will have some fun and support Butterwick Hospice.
Businesses can use the challenge to provide some light-hearted rivalry with other firms, in addition to showcasing their talents and using it as a networking channel.
It is ideally suited for schools as it allows pupils to develop core business skills in a real-life setting.
It is easily adaptable to many areas of the school curriculum and the Butterwick Fundraising Team will support participating schools as much as is necessary.
Butterwick House Children's Hospice cares for children with life limiting illnesses from across the North East, offering a very homely and friendly environment to both the children and their loved ones.
All services are provided completely free of charge and the vast majority of the funding comes from the help and generosity of local people and businesses. Without this support the Hospice simply could not exist.
